At TAC Healthcare, we recognise the profound impact that anxiety and work-related stress can have on both employees and organisations. Our Day One Absence Counselling and Support Service (DOACSS) offers immediate, expert support to employees signed off sick, ensuring a smoother and quicker return to work.
Our service is designed to offer essential guidance and resources during this challenging period, facilitating a seamless transition back to the workplace. We understand the difficulties associated with returning to work after an absence and are committed to supporting both the employee and the employer through this process.
The service is initiated when an employee is issued a ‘Fit Note’ specifying stress, work-related stress, or anxiety as the reason for absence.
Managers, Occupational Health, or Human Resources can access TAC Healthcare’s Day One Absence Counselling and Support Service to request support for an employee’s return to work. Direct employee self-referral is not accepted.
Upon completion of the referral form, and with the employee’s consent, a TAC Healthcare counsellor will contact the employee on the same day.
A comprehensive 30-minute assessment will be conducted to evaluate the employee’s needs, concerns, and recovery goals. This information will inform the development of a tailored support plan. The employee will receive guidance on available resources and support options.
A detailed assessment report will be shared with the manager, HR, or Occupational Health within two working days, subject to the employee’s consent.
TAC Healthcare will provide ongoing support to the manager, HR, or Occupational Health as needed, facilitating a smooth return to work for the employee. The employee will receive six structured counselling sessions with our specialist counsellors.
By tackling the root causes of stress and anxiety, our DOACSS empowers employees to overcome challenges and reintegrate successfully into the workplace.
