About the role

TAC Healthcare offers an extensive range of occupational health and private healthcare services. Our multidisciplinary teams of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals work collaboratively to deliver high standards of care throughout each client’s healthcare journey.

We are looking for an experienced Physiotherapist or Senior Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy team, based at our clinic in Dyce, Aberdeen.

We are open to applications from experienced clinicians operating at Band 6 equivalent level, as well as more senior candidates with the experience and capability to take on Band 7 equivalent leadership and service development responsibilities.

The role combines the management of a varied clinical caseload with occupational health and workplace MSK activity. Depending on your experience and seniority, there will also be opportunities to take greater responsibility for clinical leadership, staff supervision, service development, governance and the ongoing development of the Physiotherapy service.

The current caseload includes musculoskeletal and occupational health cases, alongside health promotion activities and extended scope work such as DSE, manual handling and ergonomics, depending on experience and qualifications.

The role is based in Aberdeen and may involve travel to client locations around the city, therefore a full driving licence and access to a car are required.

Salary Range:

  • Band 6 - £43,000-£52,00 DOE
  • Band 7 - £52,000- £61,000 DOE

Please note, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

What you will do

Core responsibilities – Band 6 / Band 7

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment, diagnosis and treatment across a varied MSK and occupational health caseload
  • Independently manage your own clinical caseload and electronic diary
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, reports and documentation in line with professional and clinical governance standards
  • Work collaboratively with occupational health physicians, nurses, technicians and other allied health professionals
  • Provide advice and support relating to workplace MSK issues, including DSE, manual handling and ergonomics where appropriately qualified
  • Support health promotion and preventative workplace health activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and the development of Physiotherapy services
  • Maintain and develop your professional knowledge through ongoing CPD

Additional responsibilities – Senior / Band 7 level

Depending on experience and competency, the Senior Physiotherapist may also:

  • Act as a senior clinical escalation point for MSK, DSE and work-related physiotherapy queries
  • Provide clinical leadership, guidance and supervision to junior physiotherapists and contractors
  • Lead the development and implementation of Physiotherapy and integrated occupational health programmes
  • Identify and implement improvements to clinical pathways, service delivery and patient outcomes
  • Support clinical governance, quality assurance and professional standards across the Physiotherapy service
  • Contribute to the operational management and commercial development of the department
  • Support departmental performance, service planning and financial considerations
  • Take a wider leadership role within the Physiotherapy team and multidisciplinary occupational health service

In addition to the above, we are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
